The Men's Spirituality Group meets Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. Each week we enjoy coffee, conversation and a video which prompts our discussion. This support group enjoys varied discussions - from baseball to what it means to live out our faith today. We've studied Genesis, using videotapes of selected scholars convened by Bill Moyers. Last summer we sponsored a speaker on domestic violence for the whole community. Another time we wrote to our legislative delegation urging reduction of third world debt. As a group we believe that one way that our Christian faith is made relevant is by applying it to the conditions of the world today.
Sunday - children worship with their families. After the "Time for Younger Folk" they are excused to a class. The children learn through a Bible story and activities relating it to life today.
Our Explorers Group, an adult fellowship group for persons 19-90 years of age meets several times a year for fellowship and service. We have attended live theatre in Monroe, enjoyed a progressive dinner, spruced up our church, and hiked the Iron Goat Trail, for example.
